U.S. and Mexican Customs need until Sunday to complete cleanup and repairs, and plan to fully reopen the World Trade Bridge in Laredo on Monday, May 29th (Memorial Day).
Yesterday U.S. Customs started to process FAST shipments with the exception of medical and perishable merchandise via the bridge.

Severe flooding and power outages forced U.S. Customs and Border Protection to temporarily close all border-crossing operations at the World Trade Bridge at Laredo, Texas, and to re-route truck traffic to Laredo’s Colombia Solidarity International Bridge until further notice.
As soon as any lanes on the World Trade Bridge become available again US and Mexican Customs said they will work together to prioritize the release of FAST, perishable and medical shipments.
The World Trade Bridge on average processes more than 12,000 trucks per day.
