CBP: Protests in ACE

Beginning August 29, 2016, CBP has enabled the ACE Secure Data Portal for the electronic submission of protests. A protest can be filed when an importer disagrees with a decision made by CBP or to correct information previously entered on entry documents.Once the entry has liquidated, within 180 days, the importer, their broker, or attorney can contest CBP decisions related to imported merchandise. The Protest Filer must be set up in ACE in order to send the information electronically.
