The U.S. will be delaying the start of Sec 338 50% tariffs on select Canadian goods by three days as President Trump announced on Truth Social and through a proclamation. The President gave reasoning in his social media posting, stating: “I have paused the 50% Tariffs against Canada, that were scheduled to kick in tomorrow morning for a three day period, based on the fact that Canada and the U.S.A., subject to the finalization of documents, have a DEAL!”
We will continue to monitor this situation and issue updates as needed.
