Second Round for New Sec 232 Auto Parts Requests Opened by Commerce

On April 1, the Commerce Department will begin its second two-week window for requests for new products to be included under Sec 232 tariffs on auto parts. The notice was released on March 23.
The inclusion requests will be accepted between April 1 and April 14. Following the inclusion request window will be a period for public comment.
Accepted inclusion requests will be posted for the two-week comment period on ITA-2025-0040 on regulations.gov.
Commerce did open the first window for Sec 232 Auto Part inclusions back in January and still hasn’t published any results from that process.
We will continue to monitor this situation and issue updates as needed.
