CBP Launches the Forced Labor Portal

On January 21, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officially launched the agency’s Forced Labor Portal. CSMS # 67466320 contains all relevant details on the launch of CBP’s Forced Labor Portal, including:

  • A quick reference guide on how to submit items in the portal.
  • An instructional video on the portal.
  • A recorded webinar is planned for a to be announced date.

Effective January 21, it is a mandatory requirement for importers to use the Forced Labor Portal to submit the following reviews:

  • Withhold Release Order/Finding admissibility reviews.
  • Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act applicability reviews.
  • Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act requests for exception.
  • Countering America’s Adversaries Through Sanctions Act exception requests.
