In a post on Truth Social yesterday President Trump announced a trade deal has been struck with Vietnam. The post outlined that goods from Vietnam would face 20% tariffs, and goods transshipped would face a 40% tariff. The previous July 9th rate for Vietnam was 46%.
The Trade community is waiting to see how the transshipping portion of the deal will be enforced. There was no date announced for when the Vietnam deal tariff rates would go into effect.
