Commerce Announces Preliminary CVD Duties For Aluminum Extrusions
The U.S. Department of Commerce has issued its preliminary determination of countervailing duties (CVD) for aluminum extrusions from four countries effective March 11, 2024. The four countries are China, Turkey, Indonesia, and Mexico. Below are links to the Federal Register Notices announcing the rates for each country. It’s important to review the scope of the order to determine if your product(s) fall within the scope. The scope can be found in Appendix I of each notice and remember that while HTSUS subheadings are provided for convenience and customs purposes, the written description of the scope is dispositive.
Also, many of you are very interested in the companion anti-dumping (AD) cases which are still under investigation for 15 countries. The preliminary determination for the AD duties is expected to be announced on May 1, 2024, and we will report those as soon as they become available.
