Yesterday, the United States Trade Representative (USTR) announced that the remaining exclusions for 352 products as well as 77 Covid related products that were set to expire on December 31 would be extended until May 31, 2024. According to the USTR, “Extending the extension will “facilitate the alignment of further decisions on these exclusions with the ongoing four-year review,” and could help the agency identify which products could shift production to other countries or the U.S., given more time”.

The USTR will also open a new comment period starting January 22 through and lasting through February 21. The portal to submit comments is here.
