Strike at SAPT Port Karachi
Posted on Jun 26
Our partners in Pakistan advise that union workers at SAPT (South Asia Pakistan terminal ) port have gone on strike yesterday (Monday, June 25th), halting all activity and creating disturbances in port operations. Carriers like Hapag Lloyd, Cosco, Hyundai, APL, and MSC are operating their vessels from SAPT terminals, so their vessels which are expected to berth and sail within this week will be effected by this strike and delays need to be expected. There is dialogue between the stakeholders and hope that there might be some solution by the end of the day.We will monitor the situation and keep you posted on the developments.
