Inclement Weather Alert: Impact to Air Freight Operations Expected

Dear Valued Customers,
A major winter storm is forecasted to bring a dangerous mix of sleet, freezing rain, and heavy snow across large portions of the United States, potentially impacting approximately 160 million people from the Rocky Mountains to New England.
Due to these exceptional conditions, we would like to proactively advise our customers of potential impacts to air freight operations.
What you may experience:
- Flight cancellations or reduced aircraft payloads, which may result in cargo offloads
- Temporary closures or short-term embargoes at airline and airport cargo facilities, impacting cargo drop-off and pick-up availability
- Delays in cargo breakdown times at affected airports
- Severely constrained trucking capacity, with limited availability for collections and deliveries and potential pricing outside normal structures
- Transit delays of several days and/or rerouted itineraries from original bookings
- Pick-ups and deliveries potentially postponed by 24–72 hours due to unsafe road conditions for both local and long-haul transport
Our team is actively coordinating on shipments arriving and departing later this week and into the weekend to maximize visibility across first and final-mile trucking providers. Where feasible, we will work to mitigate airport storage and minimize disruptions during this period of severe weather.
As always, you can track your freight at your leisure within our Vision Portal https://valexander.logixboard.com/
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we prioritize the safety of your cargo and our operations. We sincerely appreciate your business and remain committed to minimizing disruption wherever possible.
Best regards,
Your V. Alexander & Co., Inc. Air Freight Team
