On December 16th, the U.S. Department of Commerce published a notice in the Federal Register announcing the opening of a two-week period in which new requests for products to be added to the Section 232 tariffs on auto parts may be submitted. The window will be open from Jan 1 to Jan 14, 2026.
Accepted inclusion requests will be posted for a two-week public comment period, under docket ITA-2025-0039 on Regulations.gov, following the close of the request period.
We will continue to monitor this situation and issue updates as needed.
