On October 31 US CBP issued CSMS # 66684128 detailing guidance to trade on how to handle the duty offset program for automobile parts.
Importers of record that have been granted a Department of Commerce import adjustment offset can follow the instructions in the CSMS to benefit from the duty offset afforded.
TradeInsights and the V. Alexander team remain committed to helping importers through this process.
We will continue to monitor this situation and issue updates as needed. Please contact your V.
