The Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) has released several General Licenses (GL) regarding Russia sanctions. Two of the most prominent are General License 17A, which extends authorization for transactions that are in relation to imports of fish, seafood, and preparations thereof, that are of Russian origin. This extension is through 10:01 a.m. ET on June 23, 2022, provided there is a contract/agreement that is dated prior to March 11, 2022.
GL 17A replaces GL 17. The importation of Alcoholic Beverages deadline was last night at midnight, March 24, 2022.
GL 17A can be accessed here.
GL 6A has replaced GL6, and this GL authorizes the export or reexport of agricultural commodities, medicine, medical devices, replacement parts and components for medical devices, or software updates for medical devices to, from, or transiting the Russian Federation.
GL 6A can be accessed here.
All OFAC recent actions can be accessed here.
