The Port of New Orleans advises that due to the pending landfall of Tropical Storm Barry the Port Administration Building is closed for all nonessential personnel on Thursday, July 11, 2019 and Friday, July 12, 2019, it should reopen Monday, July 15, 2019 with regular schedules.
The Flood Authority closed all MRL floodgates beginning at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10, 2019.
Due to the Mississippi River floodgate closures, Port of New Orleans cargo terminals will be closed Friday, July 12, 2019. Terminal operations are expected to resume on Monday, July 15, 2019. However, the port will make advise final port schedule after review of the situation on Monday.
