GSP Update
Posted on Feb 19
Early last week, with an overwhelming margin of 400-2,
the U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 4979. The bill, which will now
move to the Senate, approves the renewal of GSP for three years. It also
retroactively applies refunds to duties collected since the program lapsed at
the end of December 2017. The bill is expected to pass in the Senate, but the
timing of the vote is not known at this time. We will continue to provide
updates as the bill moves through Congress.
