Sweden: Gothenburg Terminal Situation
Posted on May 17
The Swedish Dockworker Union recently announced new industrial action against APMT Terminal in Gothenburg which led to APMT imposing a partial lock-out effective 05/19/17.The terminal has already reached critical yard density, and reduced terminal performance as well as vessel move restrictions create delays that will most likely further escalate.Carriers are expected to introduce booking restrictions and to divert bookings to other Swedish ports. Please contact your V. Alexander Import Team with any questions about specific shipments from this port.We will provide updates on this when they become available.
