CBP Delays Transition for ACE Post-Release Capabilities

Customs and Border Protection announced today that the
October 29, 2016, deadline for transitioning the mandatory use of ACE for
liquidation, drawback, reconciliation, duty deferral, collections, statements,
and the Automated Surety Interface has been postponed to January 2017.
CBP postponed the mandatory implementation of post-release
capabilities in ACE to allow time for all stakeholders to prepare for the
transition. Additionally, it allows more time to solicit and receive
public comments on the associated regulatory changes.CBP will announce in coming weeks the precise transition
