Bangladesh Port Trucker Strike
Posted on Sep 29
A strike called by road truckers in Bangladesh is causing
delays in the Port of Chittagong where hundreds of containers are not reaching
feeder vessels and are sitting at CFS Stations in the port area.
The strike stems from disagreements about truck weights
that caused several truckers to be fined overweight fines.
The complete impact on cargo movements is not yet
transparent, we will monitor the situation and will provide updates as we
receive them.
