The course explains the import process from the time of purchase, through the transportation and entry processes, including processes necessary to resolve post entry issues with U.S. Customs & Border Protection (CBP). It includes presentation of purchasing agreements, documentation, compliance strategies, and security issues such as C-TPAT (Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism) and ISF (Importer Security Filing).
This seminar focuses on an importer’s Customs compliance issues and responsibilities, including basic classification and valuation of imported products and record keeping as mandated by the Customs Modernization Act.
