When McHale and Associates needed help returning their testing tools, they turned to V. Alexander to find an expeditious solution to their problem. McHale and Associates specializes in testing, engineering and consulting in the power plant industry. In order to accomplish their functions, specialized testing equipment must be brought to job sites around the world. On a particular occasion, Chinese export processes seemed to have the equipment wound up in “red – tape”. The engineers attempts to resolve the issue led to weeks of frustration over the seemingly inability to return the equipment to the U.S. When word got back to the home office, our contact became involved and she contacted V. Alexander in Knoxville, TN.
V. Alexander listened to the client to better understand the situation. It was concluded that we would need someone with experience and the ability to think “outside the box” in China to find a solution. V. Alexander International Logistics Hong Kong was enlisted to research the best options to unravel the tools from the tape and arrange the shipment back to the U.S. It was concluded that the most efficient solution would be to utilize the nature of Hong Kong’s Free Port status. Transportation arrangements and special Customs documents were made to export the equipment from China to Hong Kong. Soon after, the equipment was on a plane headed for the U.S. and ultimately back home to Knoxville TN.
