Memphis Equipment Company is the largest distributor of ex-military trucks and all terrain heavy-duty work trucks in the USA. They have been doing business from their downtown Memphis location for over 50 years.
The Wildlife Conservation Society saves wildlife and wild places worldwide. They do so through science, global conservation, education and the management of the world's largest system of urban wildlife parks, led by the flagship Bronx Zoo.
It took V. Alexander to help these two organizations deliver in a big way.
Refurbished, all-terrain trucks are mainly used by industries such as construction, forestry and game management. Tripp Jones, Senior VP at the Memphis Equipment Company has sold all terrain trucks and trailers that have been used all over the world.
When the Wildlife Conservation Society of New York bought two large, ex-military trucks from the Memphis Equipment Company to be delivered to their wildlife conservation project at Conkouati-Douli National Park in Pointe Noire, Republic of Congo, they needed to find the most efficient way to get these vehicles overseas.
V. Alexander & Co. Inc. routed the two large heavy-duty all terrain vehicles from Jacksonville, FL port to Pointe Noire port - Congo on a dedicated roll on- roll off ocean liner service, providing a fast, efficient and cost-effective solution to a tricky problem.
These trucks will be used to monitor and control the wildlife and habitat within the borders of the Congo National Park. You can see other good examples of the Wildlife Conservation Society mission and work at website: www.wcs.org
