Case Study: Isabella Water

November 30, 2010   |   Case Study

Isabella Water is a socially conscious water company founded on the principle that everyone deserves clean water. Launching on September 1, 2010, Isabella Water has created a product, stainless steel water bottles, to fund well building projects in Africa and Asia. Promoting environmentalism and altruism, while branding an eye-catching product is the purpose of Isabella Water.

Isabella Water contacted V. Alexander for their fledgling company’s transportation and brokerage needs. The first shipment of bottles departed China via seafreight and was expected to arrive in Nashville, TN two weeks before our customer’s meeting with Virgin Mobile’s Richard Branson in London. Due to a delay from the steamship line we saw the delivery window shrink drastically. As this meeting was vital to the promotion of Isabella Water, V. Alexander began thinking outside the box for solutions to meet our customer’s needs. We contacted Isabella Water’s supplier and requested an additional carton of bottles be produced as quickly as possible for direct courier shipment to London. The production time was eight days, which would be less than a week prior to the meeting. V. Alexander flew the additional bottles directly from China, had them cleared and waiting at the client’s London hotel when he arrived.

Due to quick thinking and strategic decisions, V. Alexander navigated the channels of transport to allow Isabella Water to sail to success on the hip of Richard Branson.
